Mug Cake

Want a quick dessert that is fast, easy and won't heat up your entire kitchen?? Me too! Night after night, I need a little something sweet. I usually have homemade cookies, a pie or some ice cream on hand for when cravings call but when I need a back-up, I usually have the ingredients to make a fast and simple but oh-so-delicious mug cake. It's basically a single serving cake mix microwaved in a mug. It takes just 2-3 minutes and when topped with a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream, it is the perfect treat! Here's the recipe for one mug cake:
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon oil
You can also mix in nuts, chocolate chips or caramels!
Mix everything and pour into a mug. Microwave 2 minutes then check. If it is still wet in the center, microwave at 30-second intervals until done. Enjoy!!
