What to do When You're Bored

Welcome, guest daughter Jovie!!! She's an exceptional writer and while I allowed her to write a post purely to occupy her for twenty minutes with no intention of actually POSTING it, it turned out too good not to! Enjoy!

Hello! You've probably heard a lot about me... The one, the ONLY.... Emily's daughter, Jovie! I've come up with a list of things to do when you're bored and have absolutely nothing to do at all. There are so many things to do! I've also included alternatives for if your kids are bored.

-Read a book. Find a good book and read it. Or, read a book to your kids if                                they're bored.
-Write a story or draw. This is one of my favorite things to do. I grab a pen and a notebook (or beg Mommy to buy me one) and just draw. Or, offer to get your kids a notebook and suggest what they write about/draw.                                                                                                                                     -Watch a movie/TV show. Just go to Netflix/Amazon/Regular TV/That old box of DVDs and find something cool to watch. Or, go to the store and let your kids pick out a DVD(s), or find an old Veggie Tales DVD or something to put on for them.
-Listen to music. I don't need to explain this one- Just go to YouTube, listen to the radio, or find a CD and put it on. Or, let your kids choose a song on YouTube or put on a CD, such as Veggie Tales  music.                                                                                                                                                        -Swim. If you have a pool or live near a community pool, you can go swimming. Or, like Mommy does boringly, tan. Or, have your kids throw on a swimsuit, put on sunblock, and grab a towel and some goggles. Me and my brother have a pool, and we go swimming all the time. It's fun!
-Eat. Eating is strangely entertaining. And I love it! Grab the cookie jar or some crackers, and eat them. Or, like I did with Mommy the other day, go to the store and let your kids pick out any snack they want.
-Play with toys. And I mean any toy: Balls, Legos, Play-Doh, yoyos, puzzles, dolls, board games, etc., etc., etc. This one is obviously directed toward kids, but definitely play with them. It's fun.
-Redecorate. Move around some furniture, put up pictures, or paint the walls/chairs/tables/oh what the heck, paint anything. Or, take some pictures with your kids, go to Walgreens, develop 'em, and frame them and put them on the wall.
-Bake/Cook. I love helping Mommy do this! So yeah, have fun baking/cooking a snack, a meal, or SWEET TREATS!!!!!!!!!!!! Yum! And, let your kids help you. Unless, of course, you need some me-time.
-Go to Goodwill. I included this because Goodwill has the BEST stuff for like, $5.00 max. Or, if you have stuff you need to donate, do so here. Then come back a week later, find that stuff, and buy it again for fun. Or, let your kid come with you and let them get WHATEVER they want. 'Cause, you know, price limit $5.00 max?
---Take a nap. 'Nuff said. Or, give your kids nap.
-Play a game. With your kids: Educational (or appropriate but not educational, just for fun) video games, sports, board games, etc., etc., etc.
-Go clothes shopping. Buy some new clothes! Like, I don't know, new sweatpants and jogging shoes. Or whatever moms/dads wear. Or, get your kids back-to-school/just for fun clothes!
-Watch the Simpsons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-Play outside. Like, swim, sports, tag, hide-and-seek, race, pick flowers, etc., etc., etc. With your children, of course.

I hope after reading this list you have ideas and are not bored anymore!!!!!
What do you do when you're bored?
